- Certificate Responsibility: This certificate's responsibility lies entirely with the Certification Body as identified on the first page of this certificate.
- Certification Scope: This certificate applies only to the product(s) submitted. It does not imply that the Certification Body has performed any surveillance or control of the manufacturing site(s), nor verified any self-declaration from the applicant or manufacturer.
- Basis of Assessment: The certification evaluation is based on a review of the sample and/or the information and documentation supplied. It reflects the current state of knowledge of the product, and the hazard and risk information available today.
- Manufacturer Responsibility: The manufacturer is solely and fully responsible for the conformity of the production units with the type evaluated and approved.
- Changes to Certified Product: Any modifications made to the certified product by the manufacturer may require additional conformity assessments, possibly leading to changes in the certification status. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to inform the Certification Body of any significant changes in product, manufacturing process, organizational structure, or any other relevant changes that could impact the safety or conformity of the certified product. Failure to do so could result in the suspension or termination of this certificate.
- OCTS Registration Validity: The validity of the Omani Conformity Tracking Symbol Registration in the Omani Conformity Tracking Platform (Hazm) is separate from this certificate's validity. It is the manufacturer's responsibility to maintain both registration and certificate valid.
- Reproduction of Certificate: The reproduction of this certificate is only permitted in its entirety.
- Exclusive Use: This Certificate is intended for the exclusive use of the Certification Body's client and is provided according to the agreement between the Certification Body and the client.
- Responsibility and Liability: Responsibility and liability are limited to the terms and conditions specified in the agreement between the Certification Body and the client.
- DGSM's Liability: DGSM confirms the OCTS registration’s approval of the certificate as a procedural step. However, it assumes no responsibility for the accuracy and reliability of the evaluations and conformity decisions arising from the Certificate of Conformity (CoC).
- Renewal: Requests for renewal of this certificate should be submitted at least 3 months prior to the expiry date. After the expiry date, a new application will be required for certification.
- Failure to Comply: If any deviation or variance from the DGSM Certification Requirements is detected, or if there is improper or unauthorized use of the Certificate, of Omani Conformity Tracking Symbol (OCTS), of DGSM name, of the Certification Body name, the certificate holder may be required to undertake corrective actions at their own expense. Failure to comply with these requirements within a specified time may lead to suspension or termination of the certificate.
- Suspension and Termination: Certification may be suspended or terminated by the Certification Body under several conditions, including but not limited to non-payment of fees, misleading use of the Omani Conformity Certificate, or unauthorized modification of the product. Upon termination, the certificate holder must discontinue the use of the Omani Conformity Certificate in any promotional material or advertising and may pay any outstanding fees owed to the DGSM.
- Certificate Validity: This certificate is valid until the expiry date, unless updates in the applied Technical Regulation(s) or Standard(s) and/or modifications to the product affecting its conformity occur.
